On 4th & 5th June Blair is a keynote speaker at a University of Cambridge Conference 'Islam and Muslims in the World today'. it seems that our Foreign Office has decided the programme and attendees. A sarcastic Mr Chaudhry wrote in to ask for more information....
On 5th April 2007, the Minister responsible for the Department of Communities and Local Government, Ruth Kelly MP delivered a speech setting out proposals affecting Muslims and their institutions. The Whitehall Court is replete with courtier-Muslims, but is there a Sir Thomas More ready to put up resistance to our new Henry VIIIs?

Archbishop Rowan Williams is a thoughtful leader of the Anglican Church but we see the spectacle of his bishops battling out in an undeclared war of succession. If Bishop Nazir Ali says tweedledum, then Bishop Sentamu will say tweedledee.
In July last year, we were led to believe that Hizbollah's kidnapping of two Israeli soldiers led to the invasion of Lebanon. Things are rarely that simple....time for a recap, some naming and shaming and some Bible study
So our Minister for Communities & Local Government, Ruth Kelly is again shifting the collective responsibility for the July 2005 attacks on to the Muslim community.

Cricklewood Blogger has been particularly interested in three big stories last week - the Government decision on the BAE–Saudi slush fund, Celebrity Big Brother and the Channel 4’s Dispatches. The first of these is of neighbourhood interest: one of the Saudi dissidents blowing the whistle on the corruption of Saudi princes lives within shouting distance of Gladstone Park. The others bring to mind the ‘six degrees of separation’ theory – more on this later.
